NEW LOGISTICS DEVELOPMENT & COUNTRYSIDE PARK ON NORTOFT FARM

Bericote is bringing forward plans for an employment development on a site next to the Daventry International Rail Freight Interchange (DIRFT). The site is identified as one of the possible options for a new employment development in the emerging West Northamptonshire Local Plan.

Proposed development and countryside park

The proposals being brought forward are for a new logistics development and 100-acre countryside park.

LOGISTICS DEVELOPMENT

The site can accommodate new large scale logistics development which will utilise the latest sustainable technologies available in design and construction. The development area is contained between railway lines to the north and south boundaries which naturally limits the extent of development. The site is close enough to the existing rail freight facilities at DIRFT for future occupiers to utilise the rail terminal. The development will provide substantial investment in the local economy and a diverse range of jobs for the local area.

THE COUNTRYSIDE PARK

The countryside park will provide a visual barrier between the village and the development/existing buildings at DIRFT. It will be secured through a legal agreement so it can never be built on. We want this to improve the aspect between Kilsby and DIRFT and put an end to concerns about what might be built here in the future.
